Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Database Expert with 7+ years of hands-on experience in database development, administration, optimization, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SQL, database design, performance tuning, and ensuring data security.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Design & Development:
o Design, develop, and optimize relational database structures.
o Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
o Ensure data integrity and normalization.
Database Administration & Performance Tuning:
o Monitor database performance and optimize queries.
o Conduct indexing and query optimization to improve efficiency.
o Troubleshoot slow queries and database bottlenecks.
Backup & Recovery:
o Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
o Ensure data replication and high availability.
Collaboration & Support:
o Work closely with developers to optimize database interactions.
o Provide support for database-related issues and incidents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
o Strong proficiency in SQL (MS SQL Server, or other RDBMS).
o Experience with database indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
o Knowledge of database security best practices.
o Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools.
o Experience with Azure cloud-based databases
o Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, PowerShell) is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
