Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5
years of experience to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have expertise
in Tally, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and in-depth experience in handling
GST, TDS, invoicing, and reconciliations. You will play a crucial role in managing and
overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring compliance with tax laws
and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations:
o Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
o Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
o Review and verify accounting transactions to ensure they are recorded accurately in Tally.
GST & TDS Compliance:
o Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
o Manage TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) filings, calculations, and ensure timely payments to authorities.
o Provide guidance on GST and TDS queries and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
Invoicing & Billing:
o Review and process purchase and sales invoices.
o Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve any discrepancies in invoicing.
o Ensure timely and accurate billing processes to clients and vendors.
Reconciliation:
o Perform bank and cash reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
o Reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
o Work with auditors to provide necessary documentation for the financial audit process.
Financial Reporting:
o Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
o Ensure timely submission of reports to management, highlighting any significant variances or discrepancies.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting policies.
o Assist in implementing and reviewing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting activities.
Team Collaboration:
o Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and help resolve any technical accounting issues.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the overall financial planning and reporting process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA or equivalent qualification is a plus).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Extensive experience using Tally for accounting and financial management.
Strong understanding of GST (Goods and Services Tax), TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and other statutory compliance requirements.
Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and processing invoices and payments.
Experience with bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Tally is mandatory.
