Detailed knowledge of the 3Ts (tin, tungsten, tantalum)
Description
Detailed knowledge of the 3Ts (tin, tungsten, tantalum) if possible - either by profession as a chemist or metallurgist or then by lengthy experience working in a metal trading company.
This would include the ability to analyse ores using a spectrometer and by chemical/visual inspection
- Supervise suboordinates and staff throughout the procurement and export process (including purchase, sampling, treatment, storage, packing into drums and export preparation) whilst strictly maintaining and taking responsibility for the high worth material bought
- Staff, inventory and cost management skills – ensuring payroll payments, administrative costs and Government payments associated with the business are overseen and correctly accounted on a daily basis
- Negotiation and social skills necessary to attract new suppliers, visit and raise awareness on a ground level at minesites to ensure a constant supply of material, whilst having the responsibility for dialogue with local Government authorities
- Preparation of daily MIS reports on the stock, purchase, treatment and packing of export material, whilst participating and contributing in management meetings on marketing strategies in the interior in order to raise quantity of material supplied
- Quickly develop an understanding and take responsibility to ensure local and international due diligence and traceability rules and regulations are met, in line with the company’s internal policies
