Description
As a Finance Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including financial reporting, budgeting,
forecasting, and ensuring the integrity of the company's financial statements.
You will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
•Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS standards.
•Analyze financial data, highlighting trends and variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
•Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial transactions.
•Budgeting and Forecasting:
•Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
•Monitor performance against budget, providing regular reports to management and recommending adjustments as necessary.
Compliance and Controls:
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
•Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Cash Management:
•Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
•Manage banking relationships and negotiate financing arrangements as required.
Strategic Support:
•Contribute to the strategic planning process, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
•Evaluate and advise on the financial implications of business activities, including mergers, acquisitions, and new ventures.
Qualifications:
•BCom with 5 years experience /CA inter with 1-2 years experience
•Strong understanding of accounting , finalisation of accounts
•Proficiency in financial software and systems, including TALLY
•Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
•Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
This role typically operates in an office environment but may require occasional travel.
Standard business hours, with additional hours required during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting periods.
